Secondary Double Glazing
Secondary Double Glazing (SDG) is widely used in Listed Buildings and is a very cost effective way of conserving heat and keeping out drafts in a room where the original windows cannot be updated. The process of SDG involves adding an extra slim-line window on the inside, in addition to your existing window. This secondary glazing is housed in strong, lightweight, aluminium frames that are very slim and as such they offer discreet, additional protection against the outside elements.
The results of SDG is that the aesthetics of your original windows are maintained whilst heat loss and draughts are is greatly reduced and your heating bills could be as much as 10% less per annum.
